Hello from the United States. I’m a CNC machinist and programmer, and I’m hoping to meet a machinist or CNC programmer working in China.

I’m not a salesman and I’m not looking to sell anything. I’m interested in talking machinist-to-machinist and learning how our work and everyday lives compare.

I work with CNC mills and lathes and can read, edit, and write G-code. I have experience with Fusion 360, SolidWorks, FreeCAD, AlphaCAM, and other CAD/CAM workflows. I also have CMM and metrology experience with PC-DMIS and ZEISS Calypso, including programming PC-DMIS inspection routines, not just operating the machine.

I’m particularly interested in CNC programming, CAD/CAM, mold machining, tooling, feeds and speeds, setups, inspection, metrology, CMM programming, and how Chinese machine shops operate.

I’d also enjoy talking about normal life outside of machining and learning more about China from someone who actually lives and works there. In return, I’m happy to share what CNC machining and everyday life are like for me in the United States.

My Chinese is limited, so I may need to use translation software, but technical drawings, G-code, CAD models, tooling, and inspection reports give machinists a pretty good common language.

大家好，我来自美国，是一名CNC机械加工人员和CNC程序员。我希望能认识一位目前在中国从事机械加工或CNC编程工作的同行。

我不是销售人员，也不是来推销产品的。我主要想以同行之间交流的方式，了解中国和美国在机械加工、工作方式以及日常生活方面有什么相同和不同。

我平时操作和编程CNC铣床和数控车床，也能阅读、修改和编写G代码。我有使用 Fusion 360、SolidWorks、FreeCAD、AlphaCAM 等CAD/CAM软件和工作流程 的经验。

我也有CMM三坐标测量和计量方面的经验，使用过 PC-DMIS 和 ZEISS Calypso。其中我不仅会操作CMM设备，也能够 使用PC-DMIS编写和修改三坐标测量程序及检验程序。

我特别感兴趣的话题包括CNC编程、CAD/CAM、模具加工、刀具、切削参数、装夹、测量检验、计量技术、CMM编程以及中国机加工车间的实际工作方式。

除了加工技术以外，我也很想了解普通中国人的工作和日常生活。同时，我也很乐意分享美国CNC加工行业以及我这里日常生活的情况。

我的中文水平有限，所以有时可能需要使用翻译软件。不过图纸、G代码、CAD模型、刀具和测量报告本身就是我们机械加工人员共同的语言。
